It’s special Yarmo as Irons go third

Man of the match Andriy Yarmlenko produced a top performance to ensure the Hammers tonight sit proudly in third place tonight.

The Ukranian gave us his best display in a Hammers shirt, scoring the opener, producing a magnificent cross field ball which allowed Anderson to set Aaron Cresswell’s equaliser and was all action and impact for the remainder of the 90 minutes.

Life’s never straightforward at the Vitality Stadium and it took King just seven minutes to equalise Yarmo’s 10th minute opener.

Callum Wilson rifled home the second straight from the second half kick off before Cress made sure last weekend’s Hammers  double act completed the Hammers scoring.

It may not have been the greatest game of football but there was plenty of excitement as the Hammers again showed both sides of their game – plenty of skill and craft at times but a willingness to dig deep when it was required.

Manu Lanzini made his expected comeback in the 67th minute and always creates a buzz of excitement when on the ball – the best, however, is still to come from him.

Declan Rice, meanwhile, was absolutely outstanding and won everything there was to win and produced some serious tackling at times when the Cherries threatened.

The big worry though came when Fabianski went down holding his thigh after clearing the ball upfield and he was replaced by Roberto who distinguished himself with one fine close range save in the second half.

It was never a memorable match but one that we would probably have lost last season and of course extends our unbeaten Premier League run to six.

It’s nosebleed time as we put the awful events of Wednesday night to bed.
