West Ham hopes to announce a three-year deal with Polish goalkeeper Lukas Fabianski from relegated Swansea City in the coming days.

The 33-year-old shot-stopper is expected to be unveiled as the second signing of the Summer and has admitted himself that the deal is going to happen. His contract at West Ham is reported to be worth £50,000 per week. The transfer fee involved is expected to top £7m with add-ons.

Speaking in Russia to Polish paper Przeglad Sportowy, Fabianski said: “We need to wait a bit, but I won’t be lying – something is going to happen.

Speaking about Swansea in the past tense he added: “I spent a lovely time there, they helped me in tough moments, when I didn’t play for Arsenal. I will have memories for rest of my life from Swansea.”

Poland World Cup opener against Senegal is on Tuesday, where he could face his future teammate Cheikhou Kouyate.
