Alex Kral

New stories are emerging this evening aimed at suggesting the Hammers interest in Alex Kral has “cooled.”

That is not the case because there has never been any bid lodged or enquiry made of Spartak Moscow for the midfielder who has previous experience with our two Czech boys at Slavia Prague.

The only suggestions that he may be available have come from his agent, the Moscow club whilst the player has liked a few comments linking him with the Irons.

ClaretandHugh revealed yesterday that despite the hype from club, player, agent and the media at large. Kral has never been the subject of a firm offer or anything near it from West Ham.

The latest suggestion appears to be that the club could not agree a fee although initially it was widely reported  a deal at around £14 million was close to being agreed.

Now the latest story is that Kral’s agent had held provisional talks with West Ham to settle on personal terms, but the two clubs had never agreed on a transfer fee which is now the major stumbling block. That’s not the case.

There have been no talks but West Ham sources have made it clear to CandH that they consider him a good player and were Declan or Tomas to leave – which was described as “highly unlikely” – they could be interested.

But we were told: “There has been no bid or talks from us whatsoever at this stage.”
