Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette has said he will he will only leave his current side for a club playing in the Champions League.

Twenty-five-year old Lacazette has been linked with a transfer away from Lyon with a number of sides reportedly interested, including Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and West Ham.

The France international, who has scored 24 Ligue 1 goals this season, said: “The team I will join will have to be in the Champions League and play good football. Passing the ball, not just hitting it from box to box. Not kick and rush. That would not work for me.”

Last summer  Lyon President Jean Michel Aulas confirmed that he rejected multiple offers for Alexandre Lacazette, the largest being a €40m (£31m) bid from West Ham.

Lacazette has been linked yet again in media reports as recently as February this year but his latest comments will surely put pay to any further speculation.
