West Ham have been accused of disconnection from the fan base after an image of  Frank Lampard which appeared on the London Stadium emerged on social media.

The photo shows Hammers Brian Dear, Frank Lampard Junior and Phil Parkes on the London Stadium.

Lampard arguably saw his best days of his career at Chelsea and not West Ham. And we can only imagine – as pointed out by CandH FB follower Graham Hatt – our media bods, or whoever, should have posted a pic of his Dad!

After all Frank senior made 551 appearances for the club whilst his Chelsea-managing son made a mere 148. Come on lads, catch up!

Lampard jnr slapped in a transfer request after his uncle and father were sacked by the club and is considered by many to be in the same category as Paul Ince and Jermain Defoe.

Lampard and uncle Harry Redknapp faced criticism at West Ham when he was substituted  late on in games which some claimed was so he could receive appearance money. He has remained a West Ham hate figure to many despite coming from a West Ham family.

Supporters see this as further evidence that the Hammers marketing department does not understand the supporter base.
