Speculation that West Ham could reconsider a move for Jack Wilshere is on the rise following the injury to Manu Lanzini.

Despite the club having made it clear that the player’s own injury record is more than suspect, the talk has now restarted seeing he is the sort of playmaker the club could need in Lanzini’s absence.

The 26 year old is a free agent this summer and is still holding out on a new deal offered by the north Londoners.

He is currently on £120k a week and Arsenal want him to take a 25 per cent pay cut but talks have failed with boss with first Arsene Wenger and now Unai Emery.

Meanwhile – according to Italian media outlets -Juventus have moved in with an offer of around £70k a week which is unlikely to tempt him out of London leaving the Hammers with a chance of snatching him away should they decide to make a move.

However, a Hammers source continues to claim that given the injury issues he has suffered it could be too much of a risk although a temptation remains given his free agent status.
