Lanzini future decided

West Ham are likely to keep Manuel Lanzini at the club until his contract ends, when he is expected to go back to River Plate.

The Argentina international has been with the Hammers since 2016 and has tallied up no fewer than 177 appearances for the club, scoring 25 goals, including that stunner against Spurs last season!

Recent reports have linked Lanzini with a move within the Premier League, as Leeds are said to have made an enquiry.

However, we have been told by a top insider that the club want to keep him and will allow him to complete his wish of returning to River Plate in his native country once his deal is up.

His current contract is set to expire in 2023, when Lanzini will be 30, although he may still have plenty in the tank by then.

Lanzini began his career with River Plate, entering their youth academy in 2002, when he was just nine years of age, and he made his professional debut for the club in 2010.

It is highly unlikely that the Hammers would let him join another Premier League club, although a major bid from Leeds would potentially change their minds.

That feels unlikely, though, so Lanzini is more likely to head to Argentina than to Yorkshire.
