Lanzini misses Dubai training trip

Manuel Lanzini has not joined the first team in Dubai for  five days of warm weather training and has instead been given time off ‘for family reasons’ Claret and Hugh understand.

He is thought to have returned to his native Argentina where he appeared on TV saying he would like to return to his former club River Plate where he is a fan.

Club insiders were quick to insist this is this is not a case of the South American being of home sick or a Dimi Payet situation and his comments on Tyc Sports TV were taken out of context as he was probably talking about way in the future towards the end of his career.

Meanwhile Diafra Sakho, Andy Carroll, Aaron Cresswell, Arthur Masuaku and Angelo Ogbonna have all made the trip to the Dubai Sports City.
