Manuel Lanzini is on the verge of signing a new contract that will see him commit his long-term future to West Ham.

The Argentine international’s new deal will propel him into the same wages as Michail Antonio on a basic wage of £70,000-per-week. With add-ons and bonuses, his weekly average wage could reach as high as £90,000 per week with appearances, goals, assists, wins, League position, cup runs and European qualification all performance targets.

The proposed increase on the table would double his current basic wage of £35,000 per week.

The Argentine player had been on loan at Boleyn Ground from UAE club Al Jazira in 2015, but signed a four-year permanent deal last summer in a deal said to worth around £9million.

The original deal had an option for two further years but both sides want to tie down a deal early which commits the player until 2022.

When concluded Lanzini will follow Pedro Obiang and Angelo Ogbonna, both of whom have signed extensions to tie them to the club until 2022. In March Michail Antonio signed a similar deal which commits his future to the Irons until 2021.
