Leroy believes there’s only one Carroll solution

Top CndH analyst Leroy Rosenior has never been afraid to say it is on this site and here he addresss the Andy Carroll injury problems and says a solution has to be found or it is goodbye.

I was a manager long enough to know what it’s like, and how frustrating it becomes, when you can’t rely on a key  player’s fitness. It makes team planning impossible.

And for the first time this morning (Mon) Slaven Bilic’s frustration is showing over Andy Carroll and I’m not the least bit surprised if his patience is now running out.

AC has had a full pre-season and has been looking fine. Then, without explanation, he is again injured and facing another four to six weeks out of the team.

It’s not his fault that there are other injuries but – look – it’s been going on for too long now. He has had injury after injury and at the last count had played in 91 games since 2012/13 – many as a sub – for the Hammers. This year he has played just one and is out of action again.

Rocket science is not required!

Slaven can’t plan without a striker he can rely on and I still hope – but am not convinced –  that player will be Diafra Sakho.

He too has some injury problems to solve and he has to get his head right but in top form Sakho is the best striker we have had at the club for some time.

Andy’s constant problems are the real problem though and however it’s done I really believe the time has come for him to move on if that is any way possible.

It’s a massive problem for Slaven and the club because the guy still has three years left on his contract and he has become devalued in the transfer market .

However, Slaven now appears to be looking for a solution perhaps and I’m glad it’s the club, not ne, that has to find it rather than me.

Andy needs to move on. How that’s done is the real problem.
