Hammers to win – but let’s all get behind Randolph

It’s vital the Irons take three points from tomorrow’s game against Bournemouth. And I believe they will.

Despite their injury problems and the absence of Adrian in goal, I believe they have enough in the locker to see off The Cherries, who have been talking up their performance at Anfield.

Okay, it wasn’t bad. But it’s no good playing alright and never threatening the opposition goal! So I think they, and us, should get the Anfield performance in perspective.

Our back-up keeper, Darren Randolph, has had his critics after some uncertain performances in the Europa League, but very often the arrival of a new stopper gives the back four an added edge as they do all they can to help him.

I think he’ll be fine. He’s an international after all. But we do all need to get behind the lad.

There’s no question who our main man in the outfield will be again – Dimitri Payet. He really does look as though he could be one of the buys of the season. It’s also time for Diafra Sakho to come good on the goal scoring front, so I’m backing him for the first one.

The Cherries will look to Callum Wilson up front to provide the goal threat. But it’s a game which I believe the Hammers will (and must) win.

Six points from the first three games would be a great start and I don’t think the lads will fail us.
