Jesse Lingard has put his home in Cheshire up for sale after a recent burglary, indicating the midfielder will quit Manchester United for good in the next few weeks.
Jesse saw possible moves to Irons and Newcastle blocked by Old Trafford chiefs during the January window, with his club demanding a £10m fee despite him being a free agent this summer.
Lingard was furious with United’s stance and his luck has since gone from bad to worse after thieves targeted his luxury pad while he was away with the Red Devils.
It’s understood the player’s home is on the market for £3m and insiders at United’s Carrington training base have told Claret&H he isn’t looking for a new gaff in the area at present.
Our sources insist Lingard remains tempted by returning to the London Stadium on a permanent basis, such is his admiration for Moysie.
However, the 29-year-old will have to be realistic when it comes to the type of financial package to which we could stretch.
Newcastle are believed to be offering a weekly salary in the region of £150,000-per-week and a £10m signing on fee.
The Saudi backed Toon Army will have plenty of financial muscle  if they can avoid relegation in the remaining weeks of the season.
Irons won’t get involved in those numbers, but our source told us: “It’s not just about money for Jesse, he’s in a rush to join a competitive team and Newcastle are at a different stage than West Ham right now, coupled with how much he enjoyed his previous stay at the London Stadium.”
