Former Hammer, Modibo Maiga had his contract terminated by Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr last Thursday. The Mali international forward spent three years at West Ham, during which he scored seven goals in 45 appearances pocketing £6m in wages in the process.

Signed from Sochaux in July 2012 for £4.7m, the 28-year-old had two loan spells away from the Hammers during his time with the club, at Queens Park Rangers and French side Metz. He joined Saudi club Al Nassr in June 2015 on a two year contract for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £3.4m.

Maiga had his contract terminated by mutual agreement with the Saudi club last week. He scored just two goals from fifteen appearances in the inferior Saudi professional league.

He is now a free agent and the former Hammer says he would not be opposed to a return to Europe.
