West Ham are going to have to make a big decision over Conor Coventry this summer.

The Hammers’ midfielder has struggled for minutes throughout his time at the London Stadium, and has only ever managed to make three first-team appearances for the club.

He is currently on loan at MK Dons and is actually the second highest-capped Republic of Ireland U21 international in history.

Coventry has a contract that expires in 2023 and his future has been brought into sharp focus by the fact that the midfield is set to be transformed in the summer.

Alex Kral is set to go back to Spartak Moscow, Mark Noble is retiring, leaving holes so it’s a case of whether the manager will trust him to take his chance or not!

Terry Westley, his old academy coach, has previously tipped him to go to the very top and actually succeed Noble.

With his future uncertain, David Moyes will have to make a call over whether to blood him in the first-team next season or risk losing another midfielder who will eventually need replacing.

With so much to do this summer, surely it makes sense to give Coventry a go!

Don’t wanna se a Josh Cullen situation all over again!
