It meant that City – bound for a Real Madrid second leg semi final clash this week – on 64 points with tough games against Arsenal and Swansea to come are on the brink!
They represent pretty tough tests for a team showing such erratic forms and any more slip ups or decisions to play a weakened team could prove terrific news for the Irons – whom I predict here and now will win their last three games to finish with 68 points.
I’m really not going to bother doing the maths because there are too many variables but the scene has changed quite dramatically even since yesterday and I’ll leave it with you to ponder on this Bank Holiday Monday.
We are the in-form team of the Premier League having been unbeaten in ten games and I fancy us more strongly than any of those around us to keep that going to the end with maximum points.
