Manchester United are eyeing a move for Lazio man Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, potentially as an alternative to Hammers star Declan Rice.
United have long been linked with a potential move to sign the England international from the Hammers and those rumours are just refusing to go away.
However, a new report in Italy, via talkSPORT, claims that United want to sign Milinkovic-Savic in the summer as they seek a deal for a midfielder at the end of the campaign.
Milinkovic-Savic has been touted as a possible contender for the club, with the Serbia international valued at £58.5m.
A move for him may well be cheaper than Rice, who is valued at well over £100m by the Hammers hierarchy.
Ruben Neves, of Wolves, has also been linked with a potential switch to Old Trafford and he recently helped Wolves to a huge 1-0 win over United away from home.
Milinkovic-Savic, by comparison, has been with Lazio since 2015 and has made a total of 272 appearances for the Italian club.
