It’s good to learn that Claretandhugh is followed by many fans other than those who support the hammers.

We regularly receive posts from fans of clubs we are about to play or already have done so with Aston Villa and Manchester United fans to the forefront.

And following the  tepid performance against the Reds at the weekend one of the Reds supporters found himself in the same company as many of us.

He and other Manchester United fans have experience of our manager of course and makes the point towards the end of his comment.

Reds fan Roger Clayton explained that he simply  didn’t understand what on earth was going on in the first half

He wrote: “As a Man United supporter as have to say I really didn’t get the first half set up.

A team on a good run, playing well, in contention for a top four  playing a United team often poor at home on the back of a Thursday night Europa outing, and yet so negative.

Yes we are good on the counter, but surely come and have a go! Believe in your undoubted quality.

The own goal was really just deserts I’m afraid. We could easily have scored before that too , to be fair. But this is Moyes I’m afraid. Sorry , just didn’t get it at all.”
