CANDH EXCLUSIVE

Slaven Bilic was been sent a straight to the point Diafra Sakho message by Hammers hero Frank McAvennie ahead of the Arsenal game: “Tell your medical staff bollocks – he is gonna start playing again as of tonight.”

Macca has been watching the medical staff ruling the roost by insisting Sak needs more time whilst the player has been insisting for weeks he’s ready to play.

And the legendary striker – speaking exclusively to ClaretandHugh said: “There was no medical staff in the world who would ever tell me whether I was ready or not – I KNEW… just as most players do and if Sakho says he’s ready, he’s ready. Slaven has to believe him!

“He has to say bollocks to the medical staff and let the boy loose. He’s the best striker in the club by a distance. He’s got the lot: pace, movement and scores goals. In these circumstances he’s needed like never before.”

Macca admits that at the moment every game has become a Cup Final and has a draining effect on the players but it’s them that he holds responsible for the current difficulties.

“You can have a pop at the board, the manager, the tea lady… whoever, but it’s the players who aren’t doing it and tonight they have to stand up and really perform because there’s no better time to be playing Arsenal.

“That lot are in total disarray with – as far as I can see – players who don’t want to play for the manager. I looked at Theo Walcott when he was subbed – his glare at the manager told you everything about the dressing room attitude towards Arsene Wenger.

“Beyond that their defence is a nightmare – a bit like ours, so expect goals and I really won’t be surprised if we go there and beat them. Manchester City battered them and could have won by five.

“We will get our chances and have to take them. Arsenal are very beatable tonight and were we to get that things will take off big time for the Irons.”
