Former West Ham No.2 under Allardyce, Neil McDonald has blasted West Ham striker Elliot Lee, claiming he would rather be “at home with his mum and dad” than playing for Blackpool.

The 21-year-old turned has down the chance to extend his loan at Bloomfield Road, instead choosing to return to his London club. Lee won three of his four games at BlackPool but declined the offer to stay until the end of the season.  Blackpool manager McDonald said: “Elliot picked up an injury and told us he didn’t want to come back.

“He’s gone back to the comforts of the under-21s and being at home with his mum and dad. It disappoints me.”
McDonald added: “We are trying to bring players here who want to play football. He’s come and played all the games, yet he still isn’t happy. He’s gone back to West Ham and will probably be in their under-21s for the rest of the season.”
