Jack Wilshere’s injury woes continue with nobody sure whether he has a chance of returning to action this season.
One thing is for sure. The club will be hoping he can, at the very least make an appearance or two on the bench, to encourage a club somewhere that he is worth a shout on loan.
As things stand the Hammers have a £100k a week player on the books who appeared for around 370 minutes in the shirt.
What’s even more worrying is that since a brief return from an injury in December which ruled him out after four games at the start of the season, nobody appears to have a clue when he will be available again.
Neither Manuel Pellegrini or the backroom staff and medics appear ready to make any sort of prediction on his immediate future in a scenario which is starting to emulate Andy Carroll’s at its worst.
The boss said in his presser ahead of the Cardiff match earlier today (Thurs) :“We don’t have anymore news (on Jack) for the moment.
“We are going to give him the time to recover 100 per cent. Maybe next week he will start doing some work on the pitch, but we must be calm with him because he needs to recover 100 per cent.”
