Mikey Antonio needs to reconsider

Mikey Antonio’s torn ligament injury should surely start having the 31 year old considering his decision to join Jamaica as he looks to launch an international career.

The 31 year old decided on the move after being all but ignored by England but it may well be a bad move considering his regular injury positions.

The truth is that the Hammers striker is probably now a 20 games a season performer and needs to rest the hamstrings as much as problem.

An international career – however limited – can only make his position more vulnerable with the Irons.

His current and past problems will also affect any new contract the club will make which presumably will be based on appearances along with a small upgrade on his basic.

The club will actively be pursuing s striker options in the summer with names such as Tammy Abraham and Adam Armstrong reportedly in the David Moyes frame.

Mikey’s delicate injury situation could even see the club attempting to sign a couple with one PERHAPS  being on loan.
