More confusion over Felipe Anderson negotiations

There is further confusion over the state of negotiations to sign Felipe Anderson with the Italian media now saying West Ham and Lazio are over £8.7m apart in their valuations of the Brazilian midfielder.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport is saying Lazio President Claudio Lotito is demanding €45m (£39.4m) plus a 20% sell on fee for Anderson. The report adds that West Ham is proposing €35m (£30.6m) plus bonuses and 20% of the profit from his next transfer fee rather than 20% of the total.

The fresh report comes hours after Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claimed the two clubs were just £4m apart. Club insiders have previously said the Italian club are continuously moving the goal posts during difficult negotiations but they remain interested although a deal is not close.

The Hammers themselves are being tip-lipped on the actual transfer amounts being discussed and all the leaks appear to be coming out of Italy at the moment.  At over £39m, it would be a West Ham club record signing should the Hammers get anywhere close to Lazio’s valuation.
