David Moyes has challenged Said Benrahma saying he has much to learn in the Premier League and he is still a young man learning the ropes of the top-flight league. The manager says that Benrhama still has much to prove but he needs to make a contribution like Bowen, Coufal and Soucek have in the team.

The Gaffer wants the Brentford loanee to be more consistent in decision making to hold down a permanent starting place in the team.

Moyes told reporters earlier today “Sometimes the manager might not think he is playing that well… that can be the difference. There are standards I want to set and he is learning the ropes in the Premier League. He is still very young as a Premier League player and still has a lot to prove. We’ve done the same with Jarrod Bowen or Vladdy and Tomas Soucek. Coming in they’ve got to be ready, got to make sure they can make a contribution. We want him to be more consistent in his decision making on the pitch. As I said, he is a young player to Premier League football.”

West Ham paid a £4.25m loan fee to Brentford and have a £21.75m obligation to buy the player this summer as long as he passes a medical.
