Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is stalling on signing a contract, leaving the Gunners without a fee in the summer according to The Sun

The home-grown forward will be looking for a bumper payday if leaving as a free agent. Crystal Palace were the only domestic club to make a movie for the 22-yeear-old in the transfer window but the deal collapsed and the Eagles took Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard instead.

Nketiah could collect wages of £60,000 a week plus signing-on cash if there is no transfer fee to be paid for him.

That will mean Arsenal missing out on a have transfer fee on a player they wanted £20million for originally but were willing to take about £12m for at the end of the market.

Arsenal were also insisting a sell-on fee or a buy-back option, which put off potential suitors. And with his wages on top, it made the move too much for any domestic takers including West Ham.

Maybe one for new head of recruitment Rob Newham to look at for David Moyes when he finally sites behind his desk later this month if \zhe hasn’t done so already
