David Moyes looks set to be announced as the new West Ham boss tomorrow (Mon).

There’s an outside chance that it could come sooner but our understanding is that the club’s media team are likely to make the worst kept secret in football public by tomorrow.

And the likelihood is that the Scot will be on the training ground with the players at the same time and all set to oversee the first game of his new spell in charge against Bournemouth on New Year’s Day.

Moyes has been the favoured candidate for several weeks as the overlong Pellegrini drama was allowed to drag on by the board but we understand from sources is that the final touches to the deal are being completed at this moment.

And Moyes is now 95 per cent to take over at the club on what is believed to be a one and a half year deal which will carry a big bonus for saving the club from relegation this season.

We have also learned that Manuel Pellegrini was sacked within 15 minutes of the final whistle and was escorted from the stadium by security staff last night.
