West Ham boss David Moyes has contract decisions to make about a handful of players as they head towards into the final months of their contracts – notably at right back.

Vladimir Coufal sees his deal expire in June 2023 and although the club hold a two-year option, the Czech is now 30 years old so a younger back up could well be required regardless.

That in turn will depend on whether Ben Johnson decides to agree a new deal and as we revealed yesterday the club have been unable to come to an agreement with his representatives!

Harrison Ashby remains on the squad, but he too is refusing a new deal with the general view being that he could be off to Newcastle where Eddie Howe shares the same agent as the youngster.

Aaron Cresswell – who is 33 years old in December – also sees his deal runs out in 2023 but has no option attached to his current contract.

It seems certain that skipper Declan Rice will be on his way with the club ready to entertain offers whilst at the back Moyes will need to think about another keeper with Lukasz Fabianski approaching 38 although a new deal won’t be out of the question.
