West Ham are adamant that David Moyes is the man to turn around the club’s poor start to the season but that backing comes with a warning.

The manager was handed a fortune in the winter transfer market and knows that it’s all on him now to ensure that he makes them work.

Thus far he has stuck largely with his regulars from the last couple of campaigns, but the pressure is now on him to make changes with the team’s form has been as poor as we have seen in a while.

With Flynn Downes in the frame to replace Tomas Soucek against Wolves and Maxwel Cornet looking in fine form on his appearances so far, the boss could make two or three changes.

And sources in the club’s hierarchy made it very clear that Moyes is now under pressure to make the right moves as we look for our second win of the season.

We were told: “There was a lot of money spent and the manager had no interference when making window decisions so it’s on him to make things work.”
