David Moyes has declared he will be making changes to the squad for the second leg of the Europa Conference clash with Larnaca at the London Stadium
That’s as far as he was prepared to go in the pre-match presser which represents our last game before the international break.
Probably most interest centres on whether he will play Gianluca Scamacca whom he ignored at the weekend and thus created plenty of speculation over his future .
For me even more interest will focus on Maxwel Cornet who – although handed only four minutes against Villa – looked a match turner at one point.
With Pablo Fornals being used as a press conference player at lunchtime it seems the Spaniard will be getting a run out.
The manager was unprepared to give many details as ever but there will be a lot of noise on the forums should he again ignore any claims from Scamacca.
Discussing the situation Moyes said: “We plan to change a little bit, but ultimately we need to be ready for the game. We want to qualify and we never take anything for granted. We don’t want to give the opponent any opportunity to get back in the game.”
Coufal still has a problem  and Antonio has a bit of a calf injury which he picked up in Cyprus last week.”
“It sure is a good opportunity. We worked hard last year to finish seventh in the league to get us to the Conference League and we’ve enjoyed it. We’ve still got a job to do and it’s important, it really is.”
