West Ham appear to dodge a bullet when David Moyes refused to sign Josh King in the summer transfer window.
At one point Bournemouth wanted £15m for their strikers with King himself reported to be looking for a mega six-figure weekly pay deal to join the Hammers.
Moyes passed on the offer deciding instead to invest £4m in Jesse Lingard made up of a £1.5m loan fee and £2.5m in wages
King was forced to settle for a loan deal with Everton but now looks unlikely to extend his stay after failing to impress.
He has yet to score or make a start at the club and reports are that manager Carlo Ancelotti will allow him to move on agreeing a deal until the end of the season with an option to extend it.
The 29-year-old Norway attacker was signed initially as cover for Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin but so far has come off the bench eight times.. He’s also without b an assist.
Moyes got a lot of grief from supporters when he signed Lingard instead of a striker like King but he got the last laugh.
