David Moyes has no plans to sell  front man Sebastian Haller this summer despite his disappointing season at the club.

The former Eintracht  Frankfurt hitman – signed for a club record fee of £48 million – will be given another campaign to prove his worth.

And from a more pragmatic point of view he knows the Irons  have no chance of getting anything near the fee they paid for the Frenchman in a flat summer market after a season which has seen him struggle to make a serious impact.

They take the view that he could develop into a top striker with another season in which to make his mark and are ready to offer him the chance.

Instead Moyes is set to look for a Championship back up striker to Mikey Antonio and Haller hopefully from – in part – funds from the hoped for sale of Albian Ajeti to Celtic.

The Swiss international has now returned home where he is mulling over  move to Celtic.
