New boss David Moyes has left his squad in no doubt about his hard line attitude to life at West Ham.

If life was as soft as many suggest was the case under Slaven Bilic and his backroom team life is about to become one almighty culture shock for the under performing Hammers.

He has held brutally honest talks with the players collectively and individually telling them: ‘You take responsibility. ‘What’s your role? When we’ve got the ball, when we haven’t got the ball, what do you need to do?

‘That’s the sort of responsibility. Now if they are not doing that then, sorry, I’ve not got time for you.

‘The easy thing would be to come in here and say, “Look, we’re bottom of the stats for running, et cetera”. I hope by us playing better and being organised, we might up those figures as well.’

Training ground sources have also confirmed that things have changed at Rush Green in a big way with one telling  CandH: “Chalk and cheese between the last sessions and these doesn’t get close.

“They are running and chasing their butts off but there’s been a lot of tactical stuff passed on as well. It looks good.”
