David Moyes is doing all he can to ensure that Michail Antonio is involved at Leicester City this evening.

But he admits that given the player’s long hamstring injury history he has to be very careful not to rush him back into action and run the risk of another breakdown.

There’s no question that Michail brings a different element and raises hopes among all of us when he’son the pitch and we are deep into a fingers crossed situation as we head for the east midlands this evening.

Despite only having one goal to his name from ten games this term he is a game changer andmakes Seb Haller a different player when the pair play alongside each other.

Whether the manager risks him tonight remains a vexed question but there won’t be many disappointed to see him should he arrive on the pitch – and they will probably all be Foxes fans.

Speaking at https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/january/22-january/david-moyes-were-battling-well-against-injuries the manager said: “I hope to have him involved in some way.

“I’m still loathe to bring him back too quickly, but to be fair he’s now had three or four days outside.

“He’s had regular hamstring problems. He’s obviously a really fast-twitch player, a really powerful player. You play him for his speed and his power so if he wasn’t using it, he wouldn’t be the same.

“You probably need him to get him up to full speed as much as you can. When he’s played, he’s given us something else up front, and we know he can play off the sides as well.

“If we could get him back, it would give us another option, but we need him back fully going and fully fit really.”
