David Moyes has made a passionate appeal for the  fans to unite in order to give the team every chance of beating Leicester City.

Against a week long backdrop of protest and unrest among the supporters Moyes – like many – is hoping the fans can put the unrest to bed for 90 minutes at least as he takes his place in the London Stadium dug out for the first time.

Speaking at his pre-match presser he said: I want everybody to be together and united. I want the fans behind us and I want the team to have every chance of winning.

West Ham have always had a really vocal support. I was always looking forward to get away from Upton Park after games because of how tough it was. They want our team to play well.

“What we’ve got to do is build. We’ve got to be all together and whatever happens affects us all.”
