Moyes in the dark over West Ham investors

David Moyes says he is in the dark over potential new investment at West Ham telling Sky Sports: “It sounds as if something is happening.”

Czech businessman Daniel Kretinsky is understood as one of up to seven groups who are interested in investing in West Ham United with several of those interested parties in talks with West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold over a deal to buy a minority stake in the club.

The Hammers say they are unable to comment on anything on grounds of confidentially.

When asked about the investment negotiations at his pre-match press conference, David Moyes said: “(I’ve heard) just the same rumours you have heard. I do not know any more than you know but it sounds as if something is happening, yes.”
Reports suggest a stake of 27% of West Ham is up for grabs for £150m which would value the club around £555m
It is thought the current West Ham shareholders will issue new shares which would dilute their current shareholdings of the club. A small proportion of existing shares may also be sold a report in the Times claims.
