Moyes injury warning a worry for Old Trafford

David Moyes has suggested that he could have a couple of players injured this afternoon and as ever will not elaborate and thus give United a planning advantage.

Moysie is so secretive about his team planning that it’s even impossible to entirely trust the little indications he throws out.

He may well be bluffing entirely on possible injuries, it could be two or more – it’s a guessing game.

But the fact that he mentioned it at all is probably sign that changes are on the way at Old Trafford later today.

Certainly there will be no Oggy, Masuaku, Yarmolenko, Lingard or Randolph but these were known injuries anyway.

We understand that Ryan Fredericks is facing a late fitness test but the worry comes from the manager claiming there may be others which sees one’s mind immediately drift towards Mikey.

It’s impossible to guess at what team he puts out as a result but here’s the one we hope to see this evening: Fab, Couval, Diop, Dawson, Cresswell; Soucek, Rice, Fredericks, Johnson ( to help counter a possible Rashford threat by teaming with Vlad), Fornals, Antonio.

Benrahma – if fit – could get an outing and that would probably be at the expense of Pablo Fornals.

But given Moysie’s caution we can expect nothing with any certainty. It’s a cautious waiting game although nothing will surprise including even a Mark Noble inclusion.
