Moyes is sack race favourite

David Moyes has become a heavy favourite to be the first manager to get the boot in a list which includes two other former Hammers.

Two games and two defeats have seen Moyes become 2/1 for the bullet with a former Hammer Scott Parker second favourite at 5/1.

Slaven Bilic – another with two defeats behind him at West Brom – is a surprising 8/1 to be kicked out of the Hawthorns behind Jose Mourinho at 6/1.

West Ham, with zero points, sit above the drop zone on goal difference only, ahead of Fulham, Southampton and the Baggies.

Next up in the league, West Ham will play Wolves, Leicester, Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool in a horror run of matches.

With that in mind, Moyes has now been installed as the bookies’ favourite to become the first manager to be sacked in the Premier League at 2/1 with Ladbrokes.

On the Premier League sack race, Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “West Ham’s fixture list doesn’t exactly favour David Moyes.

“There’s every chance he’ll be out of the door by the end of October if the latest odds are anything to go by.”
