Moyes is the man of the moment in Irons surge

I really can’t allow this Saturday evening to pass without paying a tribute to our manager David Moyes!

What we saw at Huddersfield Town today was a West Ham team becoming new born under a man who has his swagger back – Moysie is certainly the man of the moment.

His appointment was greeted with the usual moans and groans by a section of fans on social media with the criticism of the board accompanying the chorus of discontent of course.

Oh my, how that lot is being proved wrong – Moyes is making moves which nobody could have foreseen back in those bleak final Slaven Bilic days.

O Arthur Masuaku as a flying and highly skilled left sided midfielder – seems so obvious now doesn’t it?

O And now Arnautovic and Lanzini teamed together in what became a devastating partnership.

Moyes said a few games ago that resilience and strength at the back were the first requirements and that the quality would come.

He was spot on and the events at Stoke and particularly Huddersfield today showed that very clearly as we watched some fine goals from the boys, high grade pieces of skill and some individual excellence.

The Hammers have now suffered only one loss in the last eight PL games, are unbeaten on the road in the last four whilst scoring 11 in their rise to 11th place.

There have been plenty of injuries to cope with along the way to those who were once considered key players – Antonio, Reid, Fonte, Carroll – whilst marquee signing Chicharito has been virtually ignored.

It’s been a pretty remarkable achievement and there’s obviously a lot more to come – my hat is most certainly off to you Mr Moyes.
