Chelsea’s Armando Broja appears to have truly emerged as David Moyes’ number one striker target.

Having successfully negotiated with the club for the Kurt Zouma – seemingly against all odds – the club may well feel confident they can pull off another deal with the Blues.

And maybe the silence we met when making inquiries of our top sources last night demonstrates – as we have often found in the past – that silence can very often speak louder than words.

Nobody was prepared to deny the story which emerged late yesterday and the £30 million being quoted sounds right,

We were simply told: “No comment, but be assured we are very much aware of the speculation concerning the player.”

One front man the club is unlikely to pursue in the new  circumstances is Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri for whom reportedly we had  a £27 million bid turned down in January.

Since then the player has suffered a downturn in form and Moyes is more interested in the highly athletic Chelsea front man.
