The Hammers may yet make more window moves over the next few closing hours.
David Moyes is refusing – as ever- to given any definitive clues one or the other but definitely didn’t rule the possibility out at his pre-Spurs presser this lunchtime.
There was a general feeling that Lucas Paqueta’s arrival in a record breaking club transfer may be the last this summer but the possibility of loan moves at central defence may be a possibility.
Angelo Ogbonna will have to be treated very carefully in his 35th year after a long injury issue he sustained last season and with Nayef Aguerd out until around November or December that looks the most likely area.
Add to that Issa Diop’s departure and the occasional dip in form from Kurt Zouma and the chances of a move in that area look more likely that any other area of the pitch,
Commenting Moyes said: “I wouldn’t completely say no, but in the same breath it could be yes because there are one or two things we need to look at. There might be some people coming in and there might be some people going out.”
“It’s a huge game for our Club and we want to try and perform well. We’ve tried to give the likes of Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea good games and I think we have done over the last couple of seasons.
“There is no doubt that Tottenham have improved over the summer.  They have an incredibly good coach, somebody who knows how to win and get results.”
