David Moyes’ planned overhaul of the Hammers could well include the departure of Algeria international Said Benrahma.

Claretandhugh has learned with James Ward Prowse and no doubt others on his midfield wanted list the manager is ready to let him leave at the right price.

The same scenario appears to have been picked up by the London Evening Standard who are now tipping the player top depart so long as the Hammers recover a substantial proportion of the near £30 million they paid for him.

The 27 year was regularly subbed after inconsistent performances last term and Manu Lanzini was eventually favoured over him in most of the final games.

And on one occasion – the game escapes me for now – he and Moyes appeared to have a ruck when he was again replaced and appeared the player appeared to mouth “Why always me?”

Given all that it comes as no surprise to learn he could be on his way but recovering a substantial proportion of his fee looks a problem for the Hammers.
