Moyes’ polite response to Mourinho mind games

David Moyes has shown much more courtesy to Jose Mourinho than the Spurs boss has chosen to show to him.

The Spurs boss – in typically mind games mentality -decided confrontation was the way to go when telling the Irons boss and squad that they would be tumbling down the table before the season was out.

The fact that Moysie and the boys are six points ahead of Spurs in the League and that the boss is in line for a manager of the year award doesn’t appear to have entered his mindset.

Commenting on Mourinho and tomorrow’s game whilst speaking to reporters, the Iron boss said: ““I think maybe I’ve been in different clubs and being Manager of the Year doesn’t always necessarily mean you’re at the top team. It sometimes means it’s what you’ve done with other teams.

“I would swap my Manager of the Year awards for Jose Mourinho’s medals if that was possible because I don’t want to have individual awards for myself,

I want to have club awards and I want to have team awards. To have a CV like Jose with the trophies on it was remarkable.

“Yeah I’m very proud of my Manager of the Year awards that came at different times. But I would really have loved to get one Of Jose’s Premier League managers, that’s for sure.”
