David Moyes has told Borrusia Monchengladbch and FC Leipzig he’s not keen on selling his best young players.

Borrussia are desperate to get Reece Oxford back to Germany with Sporting director Max Eberl making his enthusiasm for the 19 year old very obvious.

Reece spent the first half of the season on loan at the Bundesliga side, making just four appearances and totting up a total of 256 minutes.

But Eberl has revealed the German side are in talks with the Hammers and are hoping there are no bigger offers on the table with FC Leipzig known to be monitoring the situation

He told Kicker: “We have spoken a lot with West Ham during the winter break. The talks continue to move forward. I hope there won’t be a bigger offer from another club. Then we have the chance that Reece comes back to us.”

But Moyes has madeit clear he is not at all happy selling his top young players.

He explained: “What I’m not keen on is selling my best young players. Wherever I’ve been you keep your best young players.

“Reece played the last three games and, if he hadn’t, you’d be asking what he’s doing out there if he’s not getting any football.

“He wasn’t playing regularly enough. He’s just really got into the team the last couple of games and I don’t think there’s any guarantee he would go back in the team. There was a little to do with injuries. My feeling was that you wouldn’t want to sell your best young players.”
