David Moyes has no interest in Celtic’s Kris Ajer according to sources close to the club.

The Express reported that Ajer was a target for West Ham at the start of the month and the Celtic Star claims Celtic are braced for a potential bid from the Hammers.

The 22-year-old would likely command a transfer fee of around £20m. Ajer joined Celtic from IK Start in 2016 for £500,000 as a midfielder but Brendan Rodgers developed the youngster into a central defender.

The Norwegian became a first-team regular striking up a partnership with Dedryck Boyata and impressing in the centre of defence.

David Moyes is desperate to sign defensive re-enforcements before the transfer window closes tomorrow after failing with bids for Burnley’s James Tarkowski and Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic while another target, Wesley Fofana joined Leicester from St-Étienne.
Caleta-Car also snubbed the Hammers leaving West Ham to re-think their targets with less than 40 hours left in the normal transfer window.
The Hammers have also been linked with Swansea’s Joe Rodon but he is thought to be 12-18 months away from being ready for the Premier League according to sources close to West Ham.
