David Moyes appears ready to wipe the slate clean with Javier Hernandez.Chicharito had previously accused Moyes of “not taking me into account” during his time at Manchester United – before snubbing him in his leaving letter.The striker extended his best wishes to Alex Ferguson, the man who bought him, but gave Moyes and Van Gaal the cold shoulder.“I want to thank Sir Alex Ferguson and Jim Lawlor, the club staff, all the players I played with,” Hernandez said in a statement when he left.
Moyes froze out Hernandez out when the pair were at Old Trafford in the 2013-14 season, before the Mexican was then sold by Louis van Gaal to Bayer Leverkusen.Chicharito’s frustrations were publicly addressed during the international break in March of 2014 when he joined the Mexico national team for a friendly against Nigeria. He said “I am very eager to play as my club don’t take me much into account. I hope I have the opportunity to play,” he toldthe press before the game.
Moyes has already told reporters that all West Ham players start with a clean slate with him but has warned there will be no favours. Everyone must prove themselves in the eyes of the new manager in terms of fitness and ability.
