David Moyes has told the West Ham board he is too busy to conclude contract negotiations for a new management deal and he is relaxed about his his contract.

Moyes reached safety on 42 points last week therefore triggering an automatic 12 month extension to his existing contract.  Both sides are said to be happy with the other but there is no hurry to rush through a deal as a priority.

The Scotsman is set to be offered a two to three contract with an option of an automatic extension.

The West Ham board are delighted with the 57-year-old’s progress this season and have no plans to look at any replacements. Equally Moyes sees the Irons as his long term project and currently has no ambitions to take a role at a bigger club, even if he is made an offer.

In many ways the relationship seems a great match for both the club and the manager which is set to continue for many years.
