David Moyes is set to return to his winter midfield targets once he has signed a new deal with the Irons at the end of the season.

And that will mean the end of the road for Pedro Obiang who despite being injured currently remains very much on Firontina’s website.

The Serie A outfit want Obiang as a replacement for Croatian star Milan Badelj’s who is set to exit the club on a free transfer.

Moyes, meanwhile, is set to move in on at least two of his early targets as he bids to strengthen a Hammers midfield which has been his priority since arriving at the club and has been monitoring them throughout January and February.

Stoke’s Joe Allen is very much on Moyes’ mind particularly if – as looks likely – the club slip into the Championship.

Fulham’s Tom Cairney and Bournemouth’s Harry Arter along with Anderlecht star  midfielder Leander Dendoncker are also on his wanted list.

The manager is also keen to strengthen at the back with West Brom’s Jonny Evans and Bournemouth’s Alfie Mawson among his various targets.
