David Moyes has admitted that he is unsure if Craig Dawson will remain at West Ham beyond the transfer deadline on Thursday.

The Hammers defender has been linked with a potential exit from the club in recent days.

Aston Villa have been credited with an interest in the 32-year-old, whose contract is expiring at the end of the season, while Wolves are also said to be monitoring developments.

Moyes has now revealed that he isn’t sure if Dawson will be staying at the club.

Speaking ahead of the derby with Spurs on Wednesday, as per Football.London, he said: “Well he’s had an injury for the best part of four or five weeks.

“He is back training now. Ideally, we wouldn’t (sell him) but it’s probably a much more complicated situation than what it is so it is an ongoing thing at the moment and we’ll just have to see how it goes.”

Dawson was a key player for the Hammers last season as the Irons reached the Europa League semi-finals but the Irons are exploring a loan deal for Southampton’s Jan Bednarek, who could operate as a potential replacement for the former Watford ace.

The current fit options at centre-back are Thilo Kehrer, Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna.
