Moyes waits on Snodgrass

David Moyes is ready to take a good look at Robert Snodgrass when the player returns from his season long long loan spell at Aston Villa in the summer.

The Scot has been in top form for the Championship side over the last few games and has scored goals which have helped them hit the play off zone.

And that hasn’t escaped Moyes’ notice  as he and the board looks towards a long stay at the Hammers regardless of our status.

Snodgrass’ form – albeit at Championship level – has not gone unnoticed and Moyes is keen to take a close look at his fellow countryman in pre-season.

Villa will need to find a minimum of £8 million to sign the winger permanently but Moyes will want to assess his ability and attitude on the training pitch before allowing him to move on (or otherwise).

We were told: “Nothing is written in tablets of stone. Robert is our player until 2020 and the manager will be wanting to give him a pre-season when decisions can be made.”
