Moyes wants owners to break the bank for keeper

According to journalist Alan Nixon, David Moyes wants Jack Butland from Stoke, telling owners to buy him if they give him the managers job. Butland was in floods of tears as Stoke City succumbed to defeat to Crytal Palace yesterday to confirm their relegation but in reality, the goal stopper will want to find a new Premier League club to keep his England career alive and most likely break the £35m British transfer record for a keeper in the process.

Liverpool has been strongly linked with a £40m move for the keeper. The Reds are the odds-on market leaders to land Stoke’s shot-stopper with Arsenal as second favourites. Silly talk suggests Stoke will ask up to £70m for their prize asset in a possible bidding war.
