Daniel Kretinsky’s investment in West Ham has all but confirmed that the club will have plenty of money to spend in the summer and, potentially, in the final week of the transfer window.

The billionaire has said that the club will not splash the cash in the first few windows but there it is  there for the Irons and Moysie.

The Hammers boss has the final say on all transfers and a deal will only be done if Moyes says yes.

And maybe  there’s something to be said for the fact that all of his best signings at Everton cost under £7m!

Looking through Transfermarkt.com, it becomes clear that he isn’t a guy at splashing big cash in a big way.

Leighton Baines, Johnny Heitinga, Joleon Lescott, Phil Jagielka, Joseph Yobo, Phil Neville, Tim Howard, John Stones, Mikel Arteta and Tim Cahill all cost under £7m.

Even at West Ham, one of his best signings, has been Vlad Coufal and he was less than £5m too.

It is an intriguing question with the summer window looming; can Moyes actually be the man to wield the war chest?

Based on his past record we have  our doubts as to whether he’ll be splashing the cash!
